Heather Greenwood Davis is an award-winning freelance writer, travel columnist, speaker and journalist. In June 2011 she and her husband, Ish, dropped everything, pulled their two sons under the age of 10 out of school and travelled the world for a year.
According to johnnyjet.com, the family stopped in 29 countries on six continents. Heather has shared her journeys via social media, online magazines, and on her blog. In November of 2012, her family was named as “Travelers of the Year” by National Geographic Traveler Magazine. In addition to that she has also appeared on national news programs and radio stations.
A couple of weeks ago, Andrea Stokes (Admissions Events Coordinator) shared a magazine article with me. In the article named “Infinite Possibilities,” Greenwood Davis shared her Quest experience when she attended the “Renew Your Quest” summer program last summer. “Renew Your Quest” is an intellectual summer retreat for adults, offered every summer by Quest University Canada. Adults get to experience the intellectual electricity of a Quest seminar, and enjoy the spectacular natural setting of the campus, stay in the luxurious condos and eat both on campus and at local stops of interest. The academic courses go from 9 am to noon each day. In the afternoons and evenings, participants are free to explore the beautiful local area or participate in guided hikes, excursions, and optional activities including workshops and discussions.
