New (academic) Year, New Adventures

Hi there!

My name is Jenna, and I’m one of the new Admissions Counsellors here at Quest University Canada! I graduated from Quest this past April, and during my last two years as a student I pursued the question “What is the role of empathy in medicine?” I’m excited now to be back at Quest in a new role, and after a few weeks here I feel like I’m starting to get the hang of things. I’m going to be working with students from the west coast of the United States (AK, WA, OR, CA, and HI). I haven’t spent a lot of time in this area before, so I’m really looking forward to the travel season, when I’ll get to explore new places while meeting future Quest students! To find out where I’m going to be visiting (and where the rest of the team will be), check out our Quest Admissions On the Road Calendar.

It’s really nice being back in Squamish during the summer – we’ve been so spoiled this year with the amazing sunny weather. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much delicious local produce at the farmer’s market in town before! Over the past couple weeks, I’ve been rediscovering my favourite places in Squamish (cute coffee shops, local trails, the beach), and finding a few new gems as well. I love that I’ve lived here for four years, and there are still new places to discover. My next local adventure is going to be finding a bike to get around town…
