The arrival of June in Squamish is usually signified by more sun, warmer lakes, and of course the Test of Metal. The Test of Metal is an annual race in Squamish that tests the grit of all participants. The 67 kilometer course is chalk full of intense terrain and over 1,200 meters of climbing.
With over 800 participants this is an event that you don’t want to miss. The party is on for spectators as well, as there will be vendors, food, and a beer garden at the finish line (Loggers Sports Ground). The event is happening on the 14th on June meaning the Quest Bridge will be closed from the morning until the afternoon. If you’re in the area make sure to be wary of traffic and to check out the festivities!
