Fun Break

May is a busy month for me. In addition to working every day in Admissions I’ve been working at a local restaurant (Sushi Sen) and doing an Experiential Learning block (see previous blog post). Even though I’ve got a solid work load, there is always time to have fun with friends.

During the school year Wednesday becomes a sacred time for Quest students and faculty. One of our biggest local restaurants, the Howe Sound Brew Pub, puts on a half price pizza night every Wednesday. Paying only five or six dollars for a whole (amazing) pizza is too good of a deal to pass up. This past year it became even more popular and you were guaranteed to see fellow students and faculty every time you went. Unfortunately, like all good things, it had to come to an end. Last night, May 14th, was the last half price pizza night till next fall. To make it extra special my roommates and I decided to hike the chief before getting pizza. Getting an intense workout before eating turned out to be a good idea as we were all so hungry by the time we got to the restaurant. Overall it was an epic evening and a good reminder of the fun times even in the midst of a busy month.

Yes this is the restaurant, and yes these are all Quest students. Photo By: Darwyn Moffatt-Mallett.
