Last Saturday night, myself and 12 other students got the chance to have a cooking lesson with David Helfand, the president of Quest University. This event was organized by the food club at Quest. We all arrived at 5pm to help David prepare the meal. The menu entailed lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, perfectly cooked scallops, chicken, rice, carrots, and zucchini. To end the meal we had a selection of different cheeses and grapes. This meal was definitely one of the best meals I had had in a long time.
Besides all the good food, this night made me reflect on why I love Quest. One of my favourite things about Quest is the close community that we have here among students, faculty, and staff. It is pretty awesome that we get the chance to cook a meal with the president of our University!
