Last week for my humanities class I was asked to do a final project based upon Homer’s The Iliad. Basically the my class could present anything we wanted as long as it was connected to the reading. Within The Iliad there is a lot emphasis from the characters on the qualities of being a man. So what my partner and I decided to do was ask the male populace around campus what being a man meant to them!
A lot of courses that you take at Quest ask for a final project rather than a final exam. The projects have a tendency to be very open ended. It is a great way for students to showcase their talents while applying what they have learned in the class. That could include singing a song, making a piece of artwork, creating a vibrant poster presentation, making a film, you name it! So if you are an incoming student, be prepared to get creative and demonstrate your awesomeness!
