Quest Men’s Soccer: Turning over a new leaf

Big announcement coming out of the Kermode’s mens soccer camp! There is a new head coach in town. After two consecutive losing seasons in the Pacwest Devision and not making playoffs in the last three years Quest and the athletics department came to the decision that it was time to make a change. The hiring of Alex Elliott was announced on the 23rd of January and has the program buzzing. Elliott has a breadth of experience despite his young age as he played his college soccer at the University of Portland and professionally for the Vancouver Whitecaps (USL era) and overseas in the German Bundesliga.  As well as playing experience, he holds his UEFA B and National B coaching licences. This change in management will be highly beneficial for the Kermode’s as Elliot is known to foster winning teams and the players believe he will take them to the next level. Elliot will work the team hard and make sure the commitment from each player is 100% as well as inspiring the current roster to regain their desire, skill, and passion. Working hard during spring season and preseason will be paramount as teams main goal is success. The team wants to make the Quest community proud by creating a winning program and something the university can add to it’s growing resume of excellence. We once again want to honour the Q on our hearts and the Q on the field and we hope to see smiling, cheering, vocal, drum pounding fans in the stands as we take to the field come September.
