Testing our Metal

Squamish likes to go big. There’s the Stawamus Chief, the eagles of Brackendale, Big D’s Diner, and of course, Quest. We identify as the Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada, and we’ve got a sign to back up the claim. It only makes sense that Canada’s most famous XC bike race happens here.

Yes, Squamish is home to the Test of Metal, which is 67 kilometres of pure intensity; riders climb over 1,200 meters and they are known to do it in the pouring rain. Naturally Quest students and staff flock to this kind of challenge. Check out some of our lovely Questers at this year’s Test!

And feel free to congratulate Regan on being first in her division! Whoo hoo!

Maybe we’ll see you at the JABR on August 18th, the last race in the Test series, which starts and ends right here on campus!
